Teaching kids about Climate Change

Philippe Honnoré, the illustrator of Saving Our Planet / Sauvons la Planète, as a primary school teacher has found a method to involve and delight his pupils while gently teaching them about climate change. He projects the frame images one by one. If the children can read well (ages 10 to 12), he asks for volunteers to read out loud the words of the children and the butterfly; for younger pupils (ages 7-8) he reads the texts himself. Then they discuss what they’ve just read. Philippe finds that even the young children are riveted.
